SPACE BOMBOM

A gallery space for a ceramicist plays with the impressionistic effects of transparency, translucency, reflection and colour, made possible by modern materials of polycarbonate and glass. During the day, the shimmering skin of the façade coalesce and shrink wraps the monolithic steel structure, occasionally revealing the activities within when in shade.
At night, the building glows like a paper lantern. The façade visually dissolves, unveiling the dark strips silhouetted by the metal frame behind it to give the cladding a curious backbone. This sleek, hyper-modern building is made all the more surreal by its rural setting in Chuncheon
