SABA Convenience Store

SABA Convenience Store is a place of action. It is an experience-oriented venue that simulates Korean city life on a London highstreet. SABA moves away from the typical expectations of a convenience store shopfront and instead locates a long steel dining table and various kitchen equipment for customers to use, such as ramen machines, microwaves and sinks, to its front display. SABA’s appearance from the street comprises carefully displayed instant products alongside our daily activities, encouraging acts of self-cooking and dining by all customers including children. It welcomes passer-by with curiosity. It ‘displays’ through the Korean way of city living and as a convenience store, plays between a shop, kitchen and a restaurant.
